I’m Pamela, and I am a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in San José, California. I received my Masters in Social Work from San José State University. I have over 10 years' experience providing mental health services to teenagers, adults and families. I have worked with those impacted by domestic violence, drug addiction, community/gang violence, child abuse and stressful life transitions.

I have a tremendous passion for serving all backgrounds, especially communities of color, who have been impacted by mental health issues. I am passionate and feel humbled in serving others throughout their healing journey! My intention in therapy is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space and to support all my clients to embark on their journey of healing, when they are ready to do so. I support all my clients in “unpacking” their feelings and challenges to gain a better understanding of where they are. I believe everyone is the expert of their own lives. My style is to empower all my clients utilizing their strengths, while providing them specific tools to get them on the path needed. Sessions look different for all, as I tailor everything to meet the specific needs of my clients.

Throughout my professional social work experience, I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, high schools, child welfare, forensic social work, where I provided therapy to youth incarcerated and their families and collaborated extensively with juvenile justice courts.

I have experience facilitating different types of groups that address anger management, the seeking safety model, conflict and accountability, social skills, amongst adults and teens from underserved communities.

My most recent experience includes having provided therapy services to monolingual Spanish speaking adults who have been impacted by intergenerational trauma and domestic violence.
